Senator Phil Boyle represents New York's 4th State Senate District.
During his first term, he was named Chairman of the NYS Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, a bipartisan committee charged with gathering information on a devastating heroin epidemic wreaking havoc across the State. The Task Force held 18 forums throughout New York, bringing unprecedented attention to the opioid crisis, and proposed a package of bills that targeted prevention, treatment, and enforcement issues raised during extensive testimony. Eleven of these anti-heroin measures were passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor.
