
Board Member - President
Marc P. Palker, CMA. CSCA, MBA, RTRP has been elected President and CEO of Long Island Advancement of Small Business (“LIASB”) by the Board of Directors of LIASB. Mr. Palker is the President of MPP Associates Inc., a boutique consulting firm specializing in accounting and finance. Mr. Palker has over 50 years of experience in servant leadership and has held many positions in 501c (3) not for profit organizations. Marc joined the Institute of Management Accountants’ New York Chapter in 1975 and the Long Island Chapter Board of Directors in 1977. He held many positions locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and in 2016 became their Global Chairman of the Board. In addition, Mr. Palker has served as Treasurer of the Huntington Arts Council, Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, Past President of Accountants and Attorneys Networking Group and a founder of a volunteer ambulance corps in Queens, NY.
Mr. Palker succeeds John Hill, founder of LIASB, as Mr. Hill becomes the Chairman of the Board of the organization, Commencing in January 2025, LIASB will hold monthly breakfast meetings at the Dix Hills Diner providing education relevant to small business sustainability, growth and profitability. John Hill is quoted as saying “I am pleased to have Marc’s extensive and successful experience take over LIASB”.
Marc has a BS from Rider University and an MBA from St. John’s University. He is a Certified Management Accountant, Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis and is a Registered Tax Return Preparer.
